Touch is one of the remote controls used to test new functionalities of the new set top boxes and UIs. Sensor films are applied to the surface of the button area making possible to both slide and push buttons. Features include a clickable touchpad and a double travel mechanical patent which makes easier for user to handle short and long movements on the user interface.
The surface is maintained super-flat to allow users to store it or leave the remote upside down and activate a battery saving mode. A far field microphone allows users to freely talk to the remote which is lightweight and small enough to be portable and still having a long lasting battery life.
